Tirana, June 6, 2021- The Major of the Municipality of Devoll, issued today the order which paves the way for the provision of quality integrated social care services to children that live in this municipality. The work protocol will serve as the cornerstone of the work of the social workers of the Municipality and will ensure that every child is provided with quality support, services, efficient and measurable in time.
This protocol comes as a result of a series of consultations with social care service experts of Devoll municipality. The Protocol creates a clear picture of implementing the most effective interventions when treating cases of violence against children and adolescents. It provides detailed guidance for all social workers working at local level on the immediate response to address cases of violence. The protocol also contains information on the legal basis in force for the provision of integrated social care services, such as the Law on the Protection and the Rights of the Child and DCM 578, dated 3.10. 2018 “On referral and case management procedures, drafting and content of the individual protection plan, financing the costs for its implementation, as well as the implementation of protection measures”.
The initiative “Improving the Provision of Social Services in the Municipality of Devoll” is undertaken in the framework of the implementation of the joint United Nations program “Improving the provision of Social Services at the local level (IMSPSD), implemented by the Government of Albania in partnership between four Agencies of the UN funded by the SDG Joint Fund.
