The Biggest Challenges of Young People in Albania at a Youth National Summit

ANYN and Child and Youth Policy Hub Albania, brings together young people, youth policy forums, ambassadors and government representatives to discuss youth prospects in Albania!

Tirana, 28 April 2019 - Albania hosts for the first time the 1st National Youth Summit! Under the motto "New Perspectives for Youth in Albania", this Summit will engage in youth dialogue, government, central and local government institutions, civil society organizations and various development agencies in Albania to find practical solutions that improve the addressing of the biggest youth challenges in Albania.

The Summit is organized by the Albanian National Youth Network (ANYN), the nation's leading youth network nationwide, in cooperation with Child and Youth Policy Hub Albania and the National Student Alliance (AKS), with the support of CRCA Albania and the Albanian Coalition for Education (ACE).

The 1st Summit held on April 26, 2019, is the first national event to be organization only by young people! Throughout and after its completion an important role will be played by the Youth Ambassadors, who come from various professions and fields such as media, civil society, art, culture, politics, etc. They and youth organizations will analyze in this Summit problems and solutions in direct confrontation with representatives of the Assembly, Government and Municipalities!

Throughout the Summit, the "Youth in Albania 2019" Report and the National Agenda for Youth 2019-2023, will be presented, where problems and solutions will be analyzed in direct confrontation with representatives of the Assembly, Government and Municipalities!

The Youth Ambassadors will choose in the Summit a challenge, youth issues addressed by the young people through the National Youth Agenda 2019-2023 and over the next two years will cooperate with them for their solution.

The 1st National Youth Summit coincides this year with local elections in Albania, and its impact will further strengthen the role of youth in policy-making and decision-making processes in the country. The Summit will be organized every two years with the participation of youth and young people, civil society organizations working with young people, activists, donors, academics and journalists.
