23-24 November 2015 - HRH/CRCA Albania take place on the UN Women Global Civil Society Dialogue “Galvanizing action for accountability and impact”, organized on the frame of the agenda‘Towards Planet 50-50 by 2030’.
This meeting is organized at a phenomenal moment in history when a transformative agenda for human progress and prosperity for the post-2015 era, which recognizes the central importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment, has recently been adopted by global leaders. At the General Assembly in September this year, global leaders at the highest levels from more than 70 countries all over the world, made concrete commitments to achieve substantive gender equality, on their watch and by 2030.
The adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) combined with the review of progress on implementation, twenty years after the landmark Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, makes this moment in time one when the international women’s movement can articulate an expanded vision of accountability for women’s rights and gender equality, and galvanize global action and investment for gender equality, women’s rights and women’s and girls’ empowerment as the bedrock for sustainable development.
The Global Civil Society Dialoguehas convene a number of UN Women Civil Society Advisory Group (CSAG) members from all over the world along with other civil society and social justice actors and gender equality stakeholders, to discuss strategies for strengthening UN Women’s partnership with civil society actors to deliver concrete results for gender equality by 2030.
UN Women’s Civil Society Advisory Groups at the global, regional and national levels are the institutional mechanisms through which we build on existing partnerships and strengthen our strategic collaboration with civil society and gender equality partners at national, regional and international levels.
HRH/CRCA Albania as the only organization from Albania present in this event is providing its maximum contribution to make recommendations and propose actions that will promote the achievement of gender equality by 2030 in our region.
