New researches on juvenile justice in Albania

The Children's Human Rights Centre of Albania / Defence for Children International -Albanian Section (CRCA/DCI Albania) in cooperation with UNICEF Albania have published two new researches on juvenile justice and juvenile delinquency in Albania.

The researches titled Juvenile Justice in Albania" and Juvenile Delinquency in Albania' were leaded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arta Mandro dhe  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edlira Haxhiymeri.

The Research Juvenile Justice in Albania contains 6 chapters and it takes into analyses the system of the administration of juvenile justice in the country and children in conflict with the law. The research aims that through a presentation of the legislation, juvenile justice structures and the administration of the system, to raise the awareness of Government, civil society and politicians to offer effective protection to children in conflict with the law, while reform the system of the administration of juvenile justice.

The next research "Juvenile Delinquency in Albania" it contains 7 chapters and it provides an analysis of the causes and factors of juvenile delinquency in the country. This research is the first of its kind in Albania and it aims to provide a detailed analysis of all the factors that make children commit offences, while focusing on the situation of children in conflict with the law and criminality in general throughout Albania.
