Child & Youth Policy Hub Albania is the first centre that focuses on the process of evaluation and promotion of policies and best laws for children and youth in Albania and in the Western Balkans region

Tirana, 20 November 2018 – The Child Rights Centre in Albania (CRCA), a 21-year-old organization in the field of policies and legislation on children’s and youth rights, today announced the establishment of Child & Youth Policy Hub in Albania. The Hub aims to influence the preparation of better policies and laws, based on the experience of European Union countries, which focus on the empowerment and participation of children and young people.
The Hub will focus in particular on its contribution to the European integration process of Albania, playing a key role in the preparation of reports, policy briefs, factsheets, etc.
Issues such as the rights of children, girls, minorities, LGBTIs, youth employment, the right to education, monitoring of the state budget, participation of children and young people in decision making, violence, online safety, exploitation of children etc. will be the main fields where the work of the Hub in Albania will be supported.
Child & Youth Policy Hub will advocate from the central and local government, as well as the UN agencies, donors, for rights and policies and support programs for children and young people.
CRCA created the Hub in cooperation with the Albanian Coalition for Education (ACE) and The Albanian National Youth Network (ANYN) and will support its work from other partners such as The Albanian National Child Helpline, National Center for Safe Internet, Information and Research Center for Children in Albania and PINK Embassy Albania, to undertake studies and observations on the situation of children and youth in Albania, the organization of regional and national surveys, as well as monitoring and evaluation reports on children’s policies and young people.
Child & Youth Policy Hub in Albania team is made of some of the best experts in the area of child and youth policy, gender and European studies, human rights legislation, media and journalism.
