Tirana, 19 September 2025 – The National Safer Internet Centre in Albania – iSIGURT.al has successfully closed one of the largest Albanian-speaking abusive groups operating in Discord. The group had over 32,000 members from Albania and Kosovo and was distributing materials containing sexual violence against girls and women, as well as other sensitive data about them.
This group, considered among the most problematic in the region and known for shifting across different social platforms, was identified by the iSIGURT.al team following victims’ reports and continuous monitoring by our analysts. Thanks to cooperation with Discord and law enforcement, the group was completely removed, preventing further distribution of abusive content. Today, hundreds of girls and women from Albania and Kosovo are safer, with the assurance that their images will no longer be spread on social networks.
